    About Me Some know me as Lady Liadin, IlanaFae, PubWench, GypsyDeb, or Debbie. All of these and others fit me well and go into describing who I am.
    For the last few years I have worked or been a playtron at the Bay Area Renaissance Festival in Tampa, FL.
    Last year I go to travel around the US and into Canada. Along the way I got to see the Southern Renaissance Pleasure Faire in CA, SCA - Pensic War in PA, had great mead, went to Hershey Park, broke my leg, and have more stories then I ever could have thought possible.
    While generally known as the PubWench I also write some poetry and musings that can be found here or at www.AchievingLife.com.

    Music While overall I like just about everything I have to admit there is that fondness for random RenFaire music or 'filk' music such as Mercedes Lackey to be in my cd player on my road trips.
    Movies There are so many movies that I love and countless more that I have seen - while I do not have the collection I did there still is a good number. In general some fave genres/movies include: Comedy, horror, religious like DOGMA, Devil's Advocate, 'What the Bleep' or 'The Mission', sci-fi, animation, disney, action, suspense, thrillers and many others. A few others that stick out at this moment are K-Pax, Office Space, Clerks, A Knights Tale, LOR, Star Wars, Fight Club, Princess Bride, Contact, X-Men, Labrynth, RainMan, Goonies, and Antz
    TV While I enjoy watching a number of tv shows such as Dr. Who, Comedy (Colbert, Daily Show), 24, House, and others right now between not having a tv and personal preference I do not feel inclined to watch or keep-up with any shows.
    Books There are tooo many to name. Some of my favorite authors include Robert Heinlein, Richard Bach, Tony Robbins, Barbara Brennan, Thom Hartmann, Jean Auel, Stephen King, Mercedes Lackey, Robert Jordan, and many others. In general I greatly enjoy reading books related to religion, philosophy, healing & growth, science fiction, and most any book that just happens to grab my attention.
    Likes Exploring this unique place called Earth both in the present and through the past - meeting people along the way who are intelligent, witty, fun, easy going, open, and in general are passionate.
    Dislikes Idiots, people who can not hold a conversation. People who lie or hide things (especially when there is no reason)
    Hobbies Growing... white water rafting, hiking, camping, traveling.. trying to learn more in the areas of sewing, bead work, and other crafts
    Heroes God, my parents - especially my father who showed me there is always more to this world and that anything is posisble (we must ask, we must seek, but more then all we must do), certain friends and people who seek, speak, and act with peace- promoting the sense of community, respect, love, trust, patience, and faith!

    Well, Darren aka Angus, my bf, is going to be so busy with school and work in February we can't really visit like planned so figured since I have the time off I would head on out to Estrella and possibly hit the RenFaire as well . Estrella will be my first war alone, and second one after Pennsic last year in a wheelbarrow (yeah that was an adventure).

    Anyways, I wondered if any of you would be going to the events?

    If so send me a note would love to meet up plus not sure yet on camping and all that so yeah....

    That time of year ..... new job

    With BARF starting Feb 23rd it seems like the last year has just flown by and the activity I have had on here sparse... oops. Never heard anything about the pubs so not sure but likely just going to be a playtron this year - though one never really knows, hehe.

     I am getting involved finally with SCA!! Have tickets to Gulf Wars and finally going to be meeting people of Marcaster in the next couple weeks... yeah yeah it took me long enough. Looking forward to Gulf - especially not having any broken bones, or at least hoping not to. Pennsic was fun but oh it could have been that much better perhaps if I had not had a broken leg. Darren/Angus hopefully will be meeting/going with me to Gulf!!

    Finally active on here!!

    Finally decided to get active on this site - yeah it took long enough. Mostly been spending time working on LocalVita.com or playing around on myspace, renaissancefestival.com, or whatnot.

     I made it to the Southern Renaissance Pleasure Faire in Irwindale, CA this year. It was fun getting to see some people who I had not seen in a few years as they had moved to CA ... it was also a surprise to see the one and only PeterPan of BARF there.

     Also went to my first Pennsic Wars... I was known as the Wheelbarrow girl as my boyfriend Darren got stuck pushing me around in one as I had a broken leg. Sadly I was not there for enough time due to the leg either... so of course I must go again with both legs working to really see what it is all about.

    I am up here in Vancouver, Canada for a few more days then will be back in FL - looking forward to the Pirate Festival.
